On a whim, my family and I decided to escape to Santa Barbara and the neighboring counties for a few days before the Thanksgiving holiday.
One of the highlights was visiting a few of the local wineries, an activity we haven’t done in a long while. How fun to share our knowledge of wine, remedial as it may be, with Sophie! We followed this with a relaxing picnic lunch surrounded by a stunning view of the hillside vineyards. Nance and I savored our bottle of Firestone Chardonnay Reserve, while Sophie was content with her apple juicebox : )
