Katie and Scotty scored points with me immediately. When Katie proposed to do their portraits at the Santa Monica Pier, it just seemed so right, so perfect. Katie and Scotty are as bright and cheery a couple as you’ll ever find, with such a glowing, feel-good aura surrounding them that I gladly did the three-hour drive north just to hang out with them. I’m eagerly counting the days until their September wedding date at the La Costa Resort and Spa, as it’s surely to creatively unique and memorable! Love these two!

Heidi & Sven’s E-Session

I love dimples. Dimples make the world a happier place. And if they belong to a smiley, cute-as-a-button face like Heidi’s, then all the better. Maybe Sven gets the credit for this, keeping her smiling and laughing with his quick wit and boyish charm. Stay tuned for a follow-up post about their rockin’ summer wedding!

Hali & Ryan Reunited

You’ll recall the bubbly Hali and her young marine from their post-wedding shoot last year. Ryan, having just returned from a second deployment to Afghanistan, and Hali, counting the days until his return, have come to embrace life fully. Clinging to each other like there’s no tomorrow, thankful that today is simply here.
