The Final Wedding

In the quiet, damp, early morning hours at Whispering Sands Beach in La Jolla, I photographed my final wedding, a pro bono gift to my friends Deanna and Scott. Their ceremony was as beautifully pure as a wedding can be, blessed with simple ritual and bonding friendship. Through it all, the warmth of their union embraced all. Truly a fitting way to conclude my ten-year run as a wedding photographer : )

Elizabeth & Rod’s Wedding

True love comes to those who wait for it. As they say, you know when you know, and such was the case when Rod and Liz met during a scuba class he conducted a few years ago. Under Rod’s guidance and watchful eye, Liz eventually earned her PADI Divemaster certification. Lovers and colleagues. As to whether or not they exchange kisses underwater now and then, well, I think we know the answer to that : )

Real men shed real tears. Always a beautiful thing.

Katie & Scotty’s Wedding

On this Thanksgiving Day, I reflect on how fortunate I’ve been to work with such fabulous people. Katie and Scotty are a shining example of why I dedicated ten years of my life to wedding photography. Who wouldn’t want to be around couples who exude optimism, warmth, generosity and style? I’m pretty sure I was smiling the entire day, ridiculously motivated to do my very best to record the moments, the portraits, the emotions of their absolutely perfect day at the La Costa Resort and Spa.
